Just like other forms of motorcycle sport, Drag Racing demands special quipment and apparel. Bates Fast Lane Drag Racing Boots were designed to meet those requirements. They are especially light, featuring a lightweight sole and cored out heel. Replaceable aluminum anti-scuff toe tips help protect the toes of the boots during staging and starts. The spring steel inserts in the insteaps help reduce distortion on small diameter foot pegs during acceleration. To make the boots easier to put on, they have full length sturdy but lightweight nylon zippers. Made from top-grain supple leather, Bates Fast Lane Drag Racing Boots have padding around the ankles and double thickness leather in the toes. The tops of the boots have Velcro straps and padding around the inside edge to give a snug comfortable fit. Fast Lane Drag Racing boots come standard in Black. The standard width is D, the size range is 7 through 13 in half sizes. The boots are also available to be custom made, as is everything at Bates, and in a wide range of colors and stripes for a modest extra charge.
